Material

Vellum

A white, smooth, calendered, wood free printing paper.

 

Base weight: 73 gsm

 

Calliper: 71 microns

 

Machine Coated / Semi Gloss

 

A white, one sided machine coated, calendered, wood free paper with a semi gloss finish.

 

Base weight: 80 gsm

 

Calliper: 68 microns

 

Direct Thermal – None Top Coated

 

A white, wood free paper with a black imaging thermosensitive top layer. This paper has no topcoat so is only suitable for dry, clean environments and for short term requirements. Most economy papers are suitable for high speed printing (up to 10″ per second) or reduced thermal head temperatures. Image may fade over a period of time or dependant on storage conditions.

 

Base weight: 76 gsm

 

Calliper: 81 microns

 

Direct Thermal – Top Coated

 

A white, wood free paper with a black imaging thermosensitive top layer and protective surface coating. This paper offers good resistance to moisture and solvents and can be ran at higher speeds. (up to 12″ per second)

 

Base weight: 73 gsm

 

Calliper: 79 microns

 

Polypropylene

 

Biaxially orientated polypropylene film with a corona treated surface, available in gloss white, matt white and transparent finishes. Polypropylene is suitable for toiletries, agricultural and household products which require resistance to chemicals. This product can be used for externally stored items.

 

Base weight: 45 gsm

 

Calliper: 60 microns

 

Polyethylene

 

A flexible polyethylene film with a corona treated surface, available in gloss white, matt white, silver and transparent finishes. For use where containers are not rigid or are squeezable, such as toiletries or household products.

 

Base weight: 86 gsm

 

Calliper: 85 microns

 

Vinyl

 

A plasticised, calendered vinyl film design for labels which require durability and flexibility. Available in gloss white, matt white, transparent and a range of colours. We can also supply this material at heavier values than the standard shown below, please contact us for more information.

 

Base weight: 115 gsm

 

Calliper: 83 microns

 

Polyester

 

A polyester film with a print receptive top coating. Available in gloss white, matt white, silver and transparent. The Rolls Royce of the label world, Polyester is used in harsh environments when durability is paramount and where high temperatures and chemicals are the norm.

 

Base weight: 75 gsm

 

Calliper: 60 microns

Adhesive

Standard Permanent Adhesive

 

A water based emulsion acrylic adhesive with high initial tack. This is our most standard adhesive and can be applied to dry, warm or chilled products. It is resistant to heat and light.

 

Minimum application temperature: 0°C

 

Service temperature range: -20°C to +80°C

 

Hot-melt Adhesive

 

A rubber based permanent adhesive with excellent performance on most surfaces and at low temperatures. Offers extremely high tack and can be offered with BS5609 approval for marine use.

 

Minimum application temperature: 0°C

 

Service temperature range: -40°C to +60°C

 

Deep Freeze Adhesive

 

An emulsion based acrylic permanent adhesive with a very high tack, even to moist surfaces. As the product is waterproof, it is ideal for freezer applications as long as the label is applied at an ambient temperature.

 

Minimum application temperature: -20°C

 

Service temperature range: -40°C to +60°C

 

Standard Removable Adhesive

 

A removable, acrylic based adhesive with medium tack. Excellent resistance to heat and light with good long term removability properties.

 

Minimum application temperature: -10°C

 

Service temperature range: -30°C to +70°C

You can choose between either narrow or wide leading edges. (For example; If you choose narrow, then the narrow edge of the label will be at the front of the roll.)
